CardTower GDD

Comprehensive Game Design Document for a mobile card tower defense game, created during internship at UDO Games.

Overview

CardTower is a GDD for a mobile-first card tower defense hybrid. Players draw cards each turn to place towers, cast spells, and adapt to procedurally generated enemy waves.

  • Procedural difficulty scaling

Design Philosophy

The goal was to create a game that rewards planning without punishing beginners. Each design decision was tested against three player archetypes: casual, mid-core, and competitive.
